Stockland have given me the opportunity to give away a gift card to one lucky reader! Thanks Typo and Stockland - you get to help me give away my first prize!

I figured I'd make it a bit fun - leave a comment in 50 words or less on how you're going to jazz up your home this year for the chance to win! This competition is open to Australian residents only.

This year, I'll be jazzing up our home with a whole bunch of handmade delights! From baking to gardening and crochet, I'm planning on making a lot of lovely things on a budget this year!

The judge will be my partner Dave, being read the comments without any names attached. This will allow the competition to be impartial, but still based on your efforts!

This competition will be open for a week - until Midnight on Friday 22nd February. Simply comment to have the chance to win!

  1. Hi!
Firstly, I want to get our lovely canvas we got on holiday in Alice Springs by a local Aboriginal artist framed and mounted onto our wall.
Also, I want to display more of my children's artwork throughout the home. They're colourful and beautiful!
And more fresh flowers (hopefully) as I've planted some flowers recently.

  2. I'm going to be decorating all our kitchen walls with my daughter's artwork. She's 5 and has just started school and I'm doing all I can to show her how proud I am of her!

  4. our house is lacking colour
    it's looking sad and dull
    time to update decor
    and maybe time to cull

a lick of paint is needed
    new curtains required too
    the laundry needs an overhaul
and we really need a new loo!

    so many things need doing
but at the end of the day
home is where the heart is
and this is where we'll stay

  5. I actually love 'jazz' music! I'm inspired with decorating or rearranging my home when playing music. So I'll be applying musical touches to my place. Vibrancy, colourful 'tones' and 'conducting' clutter free lounge space.

  6. I'm jazzing things up by going light and airy. I've stripped, sanded and lime-washed the wooden furniture. Next up a beach themed mantlepiece, and I'll follow up by crocheting a cozy throw for winter. Before you know, I'll have a calm space to reflect on my day.

  7. Wooden Alphabet Letters
    Leather lounge in red
Large bowl decorating the hall table
    Trendy canvas for the bedroom
Ceramic clouds for the girls bedroom wall.

From dull, boring to modern, funky
I'm aiming to change this year
To textured throw rugs and cushions
Having a grin from ear to ear.

    (Rachel Kriss-Newell, rm.newell@bigpond.com.au) Thank you.

  8. I would use it to decorate the "office/work area" to make it more office-y and organised! I have the worst habit of losing things mid install and forgetting or losing important paperwork for clients!

  9. I would love to win this so I can use it to buy some awesome stuff for me and my daughter so we can be creative together to jazz up the house spending quality time with her and also making things to decorate the house with her creativity and taste :)
